Project Engineer

“This morning I began my day with starting up an installation for a customer in Amsterdam. Next, while on my way to deal with a complex malfunction at another customer in Veldhoven, I received a call from the installation team in the US. They had some questions about an incorrectly installed part. We talked through the issue and worked out a solution. Around lunchtime, the complex malfunction was solved. As I was in the vicinity of Eindhoven, I went to the office to catch up with my colleagues over lunch. After that, I drove home where I did a final check on the technical drawings I had prepared earlier this week. It was nice to be home early today, giving me time to go to the gym before dinner.”

Would a schedule like this energize your day? Would you like to work with an extraordinary company that is fast‑growing and wants to grow together with you? Join Team Vecos!

Who we are

Employees are happier and more productive when they can work when, where and how it best suits them. And we’re making this possible for millions of people every day. With our smart locker systems, we’re on a mission to enable the world to work dynamically. With already over 1 million global daily users of our system, we have the privilege to work on fantastic workplaces. For clients such as Nike, Deloitte, Microsoft, SAP, Unilever, PwC and GSK. We’ve established ourselves as market leader and are working hard to maintain and expand that competitive edge.

But with Vecos, it’s not just about our advanced technology. Our working culture and the team’s wealth of talent make the winning combination. That’s how we remain market leader and trendsetter in smart locker systems.

Who are we looking for?

You’re able to independently guide complex installations of national and international projects and lead them to successful implementations. Whether you’re a junior or already have some experience: with your technical skills and creativity you solve hardware and software problems. You’re proactive, enjoy a challenge, and you’re curious to keep learning. In the process, you’re not afraid to sometimes go the extra mile for a customer or colleague.

Furthermore, we would like to check off the following job requirements:

• Secondary vocational education (MBO) or higher in the field of electrical engineering
• Affinity with technology, ICT and electrical engineering
• Experience with Office software and (basic) 2D/3D drawing software
• Full professional proficiency in Dutch and English
• Living within approximately a 1‑hour vicinity of Amsterdam is a plus due to project locations and travel

Beyond skills, we’re looking for the right person and attitude. Are you looking for the right place to grow, and not just the job?

What will you be doing?

As Project Engineer you have a pivotal role in the field and are the point of contact during the complete technical implementation of a project. You’re both a hardware and a software specialist and actively share your technical knowledge internally and externally. The projects you’ll be working on can be either new projects or extensions of existing setups with our global accounts.

You prepare projects, make the technical drawings and support the project managers. Furthermore, you’re responsible for a seamless integration of the hardware system with the customer and for (helping with) solving complex malfunctions. You do this by guiding installation partners in the Netherlands and abroad, and by advising and training installation partners and furniture builders we work with regularly.

You’ll be joining the team of Erwin, Jeroen, Corné, Elias, Olivier and Falco. Experienced team members who are happy to answer any questions you have about this role!

What do we have to offer?

As a fast‑growing company with great ambition, we offer you the opportunity to grow with us and learn a lot in a short time span. You’ll get plenty of room to develop yourself, ask questions and learn from experienced engineers, while gradually taking more ownership as you grow into the role.

Great employment conditions and job satisfaction in a close‑knit team are also part of the job. Flexibility, a good work‑life balance and an environment where you can be yourself are equally important to us.

Would you like an indication of salary? We don’t work with salary scales; each Vecos hero has their own specific impact which is rewarded accordingly. Don’t worry – we make sure it’s fair and competitive.
