Unity Place campus is Santander UK’s new HQ in Central Milton Keynes, and home to digital banking innovation that nurtures collaboration and wellbeing. The building also welcomes the local community and enhances the area with a range of public amenities; urban food market, shops, auditorium, community hall, health and fitness suite, and co-working spaces for university students (in partnership with MK:U), small businesses, start-ups, and entrepreneurs.

Unity Place has been built with sustainability and employee experience in mind and has become a place they can collaborate as a business. It gives Santander UK employees the opportunity to make use of state-of-the-art facilities and come together with their teams from across the UK.

Vecos is the proud supplier of 1,500 smart lockers that serve up to 2,000 users.

Premium facilities in contemporary office space

The day-to-day operation of the building is supported by a dedicated ‘campus app’, allowing users to book and manage facilities, keep up to date with upcoming events and for the community to engage with the building.

Santander wants their people to thrive at work and home, and they recognise that many people benefit from part time and flexible arrangements. Whenever they are working from the office, using the Vecos Smart Locker System, Santander employees can book a locker in the vicinity of their selected workplace. And during the day, or at the end of their workday, they release the locker to make it available again for someone else.

Smart insights in locker usage

Vecos’ web-based management portal brings day-to-day benefits for Santander’s facility management:

• Access for authorized users only, from all types of devices (such as desktop, mobile, Mac, and iPad)
• Real-time remote locker access
• Easy and real-time data and insights in locker usage and ownership
• Automated administrative tasks (such as joiners/movers/leavers data)

All this saves considerable time spent by facility staff on locker management.
