Vecos Locker Management System (LMS)
Vecos offers an electronic locker management concept that is far more than just a ‘locker filled with electronics’. The huge possibilities using pincodes, chipcards, magnetic cards, barcodes and RFID tags have all been integrated into a sophisticated locker management solution, catering for a wide variety of applications.
The newest generation of the Vecos electronic Locker Management System (LMS) is a combination of hard- and software enabling the opening and closing of individual lockers without a single key. For more then 10 years now, Vecos has developed a product range in which the latest technology is integrated. The LMS solution either works as a stand-alone version, or as a network of connected lockers, managed by locker management hard- and software. The LMS solution can therefore be used for both small number of lockers, as well as entire networks of lockers, situated in different geographical location.
The Vecos locker management system consists of a number of different hard- and software components, of which some are available as extra options.
- The service terminal with monochrome touchscreen can be operated in stand-alone mode, or used within a TCP/IP network (online), enabling locker management by online management software. The terminal can be used to operate 512 individual lockers, in a TCP/IP environment the terminal can also manage lockers which are connected to other service terminals. The terminal is able to process input of pincodes and communicates with different kinds of pass readers, such as proximity, MiFare, HID and iCode readers. Systems using RS 232, Clock/Data or Wiegand hardware can also be connected.
- The ‘fixed’ service terminal module can be used to operate 16 electronic locks. In total, 32 of these modules can be interconnected, allowing 512 lockers to be operated from 1 service terminal.
- The system’s power supply meets industrial quality standards and is available in 2 versions; 7.5A (suitable for a maximum of 50 individual lockers) and 18A (suitable for a maximum of 150 individual lockers).
- The system’s power supply is supported by a UPS of 600 VA. The UPS enables the locker management system to function temporarily in case of a power failure.
- Vecos SmartAccess management software enables easy and visual configuration of the system. Smart Access consists of a Web-based user interface, using IIS, NET 2.0 and a MS-SQL database, enabling locker management via the internet or an intranet. A communication module, using NET 2.0 and a MS-SQL database enables communication between the service terminals and the database.
